Want To Help Italian Greyhound Rescue? Any Time. Any Place. No Extra Effort. No Costs!

If I could afford to send everyone business cards with the info below on it I would. <VBG> But I'm thinking that if one of you guys could make an attractive download....people could carry the information in their wallets or purses and share with potential adopters. See below for what sparked that idea:
In early spring I took Georgie with me to a nearby garden nursery. One of the customers at that nursery fell in love with Georgie on sight! She wanted to know where I got him and if there were any more pups like him available. I told her about Italian Greyhound Rescue and gave her my card. To make a long story short...as a result of that one trip to a garden store with my Italian Greyhound.....A RESCUE FOUND A HOME!!!!! This adoption is going through and Oreo will soon be in his new home!!!!!
Many of you are sending me pix of your GLORIOUS Italian Greyhounds. There isn't a klunker in the bunch. There is no breed more elegant or beautiful or generally wonderful than ours. We know that. The general public doesn't know that. Right now IGCA Rescue Reps are up to their eyeballs in dogs. Many Reps are in tears because they have to refuse dogs in need. The problem is....NO HOMES. And that's where YOU can help!
This won't cost you a dime. I'M GOING TO ASK YOU TO TAKE ONE OF YOUR DOGS WITH YOU to the bank, to the garden store, to the park, to flea markets, to parks, to ANYWHERE that a dog might be allowed. People will see your beautiful Italian Greyhound and ask about it. Be prepared. Please print out some small sheets of paper with the following information. Put multiple copies of the message below in your purses and wallets...and always have them handy:

Ask potential adopters to contact me at the e-mail address provided. I will direct these people to the closest Rescue Rep or Area Co-Ordinator. Together...maybe you and I can get pro-active about finding homes for all these little guys who so desperately need a home. I'm going to ask Marlene Norton to set up a website connected to the Rescue Items Site....just to see how many dogs ITALGREY, IG Whispers and Iggy Planet can help us place! YOUR dog can become an ambassador for the breed. YOUR dog can literally save lives. It's all Rescue Reps can do to handle fostering. Many of them are so busy....it's hard for them to go out and scout up homes. If we can start providing them with contact information on potential adopters....maybe we can get more dogs out of Rescue and into real HOMES!!!!!
We all love our own dogs so much. And because of that incredibly special bond that we all feel.....we love the breed as a whole. We want loving homes for EVERY Italian Greyhound. I'm willing to handle all the e-mails and I hope to get A TON! <VBG> Would you all be willing to do this in order to help find homes for little guys and gals in need? I'll be interested to hear what you think.
