Gina

February, 1994 - June 8, 2008
Gina was 8 mos. old when I adopted her from a local Humane Society. She was a shepherd-greyhound mix breed, but something just clicked that day I found her and decided to give her that chance at life she desperately needed. It didn't take long to find out that I had found a very unique and individualistic dog. She was a protector. a companion and a copilot. She made 14 of my 76 years a very beautiful, memorable experiance than can never be replaced nor forgotten. When you come into my house, as a stranger, you had better get a hug or a handshake, otherwise be prepared to be closely watched. However, that fateful Sunday morning, when I said "truck" , and she couldn't get up, I knew that the next ride was going to be the last, together. Gina, I will walk across that "Bridge" with you.
Inner Strength
If you can start the day without caffeine,
If you can get going without pep pills,
If you can always be cheerful, ignoring aches and pains,
If you can resist complaining and boring people with your troubles,
If you can eat the same food every day and be grateful for it,
If you can understand when your loved ones are too busy to give you any time,
If you can take criticism and blame without resentment,
If you can ignore a friend's limited education and never correct him,
If you can conquer tension without medical help,
If you can relax without imbibing,
If you can sleep without the use of drugs -
Then you are probably the family dog
